Glen Ellyn is getting ready to glow for Halloween, and the Glen Ellyn Park District is inviting the community to help light up Main Street with carved pumpkins.

The district’s Call for Jack-O’-Lanterns welcomes residents of all ages and skill levels to carve a pumpkin at home, bring it to the Main Street Recreation Center and become part of the festive Pumpkins on Main display.

Participants can drop off their finished jack-o’-lanterns on Tuesday, October 27, or Wednesday, October 28, between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The glowing creations will be displayed outside the Main Street Recreation Center from October 27 through October 31, adding a fun, community-made touch to the Halloween season.

Whether your pumpkin is funny, spooky or wonderfully creative, it will help make the display special, and participants could win prizes.
