Donations, especially diapers in sizes 4, 5, and 6, Pull-Ups, baby wipes, and clean, gently used spring or summer clothing for newborns up to size 5T, are urgently needed.

 

Please note, car seats, cribs, strollers, and used stuffed toys cannot be accepted.

 

Those wishing to make a broader impact are encouraged to organize diaper drives at their workplaces or community groups.

 

Contributions like Kohl’s Cash also help Outreach House purchase much-needed children’s clothing.

January marks National Blood Donor Month, a time to celebrate and encourage life-saving generosity across the community.

 

The Village of Lombard’s recent Winter Blood Drive collected 65 pints, enough to potentially save 195 lives.

 

Since 1988, Lombard has held 386 drives, gathering more than 20,000 units and making a lasting difference.

 

Partnering with Versiti Blood Centers, Lombard hosts regular drives at Yorktown Center and the First Church of Lombard, offering convenient ways for residents to contribute.

 

Upcoming 2026 blood drives are set for April 14, June 9, September 8, plus a special event on November 10 honoring Veterans and Bill Mueller.

 

Despite strong local support, nationwide shortages underscore the urgent need for donors.
