Southminster Presbyterian Church will host a free Trunk or Treat and Pet Parade on Sunday, October 25, from 4–6 p.m. at 680 S. Park Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

The event includes decorated trunks, Halloween treats, a pet costume contest and a 5:30 p.m. Pet Paw-Rade.

Pets must be leashed or in carriers, and a rain plan will move trunk-or-treat activities indoors while canceling the outdoor pet parade.

Lombard’s Halloween House Tour features 26 decorated homes participating in the Lombard Park District’s Halloween House Decorating Contest.

Families can take a self-guided drive through town, enjoy creative Halloween displays and vote for their favorite home.

Five local football teams have qualified for the 2026 IHSA playoffs.

Glenbard East will host Bartlett in Class 7A, Willowbrook will host Chicago Amundsen in Class 6A and Glenbard South will face Chicago Payton in Class 5A.

Pumpkin carving is sold out, but limited tickets remain for Reserve 22’s family Spooktacular Party on Friday, October 30, from 6–8 p.m. in Glen Ellyn.

Hosted by “Sally” and a HUNTRIX-inspired K-pop singer, the evening includes a DJ, dancing, crafts, coloring and kid-friendly bites.

Tickets are $35 per person for children and adults; suggested ages are 3–8, and costumes are encouraged.

House of Hamill returns to Maple Street Chapel October 25 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $26.50 online or $25 at the door if seats remain.

Costumes, candy and spooky scenes will welcome families to Halloween Happenings at the Villa Park Recreation Center. Free outdoor trick-or-treating returns to the Recreation Center October 16.

The fourth annual Glenbard East Boosters Craft and Vendor Fair takes place Saturday, October 24, from 9 a.m.–3 p.m. at Glenbard East High School, 1014 S. Main St., Lombard.
