The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale has received a $5,000 grant to help share the joy of live music with older adults.

The award is part of the 2026 Arts DuPage Fund grant program administered by DuPage Foundation.

The funding is supported through the Illinois Arts Council Regional Arts Partnership and is designated for concert performances at senior living facilities.

By bringing singers directly to residents, the chorale can reach audiences who may find it difficult to travel to a traditional concert hall.

A familiar song can spark memories and create moments of connection, particularly in places where social interaction and accessible cultural programming matter.

The local ensemble is one of numerous arts groups receiving support through this year's countywide grants.

DuPage Foundation lists a total of $244,295 in 2026 Arts DuPage awards.

The chorale's grant specifically emphasizes outreach to senior living communities rather than a single public performance.

Residents interested in hearing the ensemble can check its upcoming concert announcements, while the grant-supported visits will bring music into senior residences around the county.
