Lombard Historical Society is inviting residents to explore local history during a daytime tour of the Historic Lombard Cemetery on Saturday, October 24.

The guided tour runs from 1 to 2 p.m. at the cemetery, 462 S. Main Street.

Participants will learn about people who once called Lombard home while also examining features of Victorian cemetery design and traditions that have faded from common use.

The program is designed for ages 8 and older and lasts about one hour.

Tickets are listed at $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers, and space is limited.

The tour is outdoors and will take place rain or shine, and visitors should be prepared for uneven ground throughout the cemetery.

The event offers a quieter way to connect with Lombard’s past during a month filled with Halloween activities and historic programming.
