The 2026 Lombard Citizens Fire Academy graduates have a closer understanding of what it takes to keep the community safe.

Participants were recognized during the Lombard Fire Department’s Community Open House on Wednesday, October 7.

The academy combined classroom instruction and hands-on activities, giving participants a firsthand look at the daily responsibilities of local firefighters and paramedics.

Along the way, they learned about the training and emergency response operations behind the department’s work.

Congratulations to this year’s graduates, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about the people who serve Lombard.
