Lombard Christmas Mart Returns November 7 with Holiday Shopping |
Local vendors, Lilac Emporium savings and a new digital punch card highlight the annual tradition |

Holiday shopping arrives early in downtown Lombard when the annual Lombard Christmas Mart takes over West Maple Street on Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
With free admission, the event invites families and neighbors to browse handcrafted gifts, jewelry, seasonal decorations and other discoveries from area artists, crafters and vendors.
Rather than gathering in just one spot, the mart stretches across participating churches and locations along the historic Maple Street corridor.
That gives visitors a chance to explore the neighborhood while supporting local makers and enjoying one of Lombard’s familiar holiday traditions.
One stop worth adding to the shopping itinerary is the Lombard Historical Society’s Lilac Emporium Gift Shop at 23 W. Maple Street.
The shop carries Lombard-inspired gifts and holiday items for shoppers who want something that celebrates their hometown.
During the mart, apparel will be 30% off, and Historical Society members can combine that event offer with their regular membership discount.
This year's shopping experience also comes with a digital upgrade.
The free Historic Downtown Lombard mobile app lets visitors browse participating vendors, see where they are located and plan shopping stops before heading out.
Organizers are also introducing a digital Christmas Mart punch card, allowing visitors to collect punches through the app when they stop at participating locations.
Downloading the app ahead of time can make it easier to navigate the event and take advantage of those new features.
The application is available for Apple and Android devices.
For anyone hoping to find a distinctive holiday gift or simply spend a festive morning in town, the Christmas Mart offers an easy opportunity to shop local and celebrate the season.
Event details: Saturday, November 7, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., West Maple Street in Lombard, with participating churches and other locations.
Admission is free, and the Lilac Emporium is located at 23 W. Maple Street.
Visitors can check the Lombard Historical Society's event information and Christmas Mart Facebook page for updates before attending.
The Historical Society preserves and shares community history through its Victorian Cottage Museum, Carriage House, Lilac Emporium, archives and Sheldon Peck Homestead.
Together, the mart and these historic sites show how downtown Lombard connects its traditions with new ways for residents to explore and enjoy the community. |
