The Lombard Garden Club will take a look back at “Gardening in the 1970s” with speaker Bill Karges on Friday, October 23.

 

The program explores how Earth Day and the decade’s growing environmental awareness encouraged back-to-nature gardening trends that continue to influence gardeners today.

 

Guests are encouraged to wear 1970s attire for the occasion.

 

The free program is open to the public and offers a chance to learn alongside fellow gardening enthusiasts.
