Get your costumes ready, Lombard! LS Hair Design is sponsoring the Halloween Costume Contest at this year’s Spooktacular celebration in Downtown Lombard.

Families, friends and Halloween fans are invited to show off their best looks on Sunday, October 18, when the community gathers for an afternoon of fall fun.

Want to enter? Stop by the LS Hair Design booth during the event to sign up for the costume contest.

Whether your outfit brings laughs, chills or adorable smiles, there is a category where you can shine.

Contest categories: Funniest Costume, Most Creative Costume, Scariest Costume, Cutest Costume and Best Group Costume.

Get the whole family involved, coordinate a group theme or put your own creative twist on a classic Halloween character.

Winners will be announced at 4:30 p.m., giving participants something extra to look forward to before the afternoon wraps up.

First-place and second-place winners in each category will receive trophies, while third-place winners will take home ribbons.

The costume contest is one of several ways to enjoy Spooktacular, a neighborhood favorite with trick-or-treating, games, a scavenger hunt, bounce houses and live entertainment.

Stroll through downtown, visit participating local businesses and enjoy the Halloween atmosphere while cheering on your favorite costumes.

DATE: Sunday, October 18, 2026.

TIME: Noon–5:00 p.m.; costume contest winners announced at 4:30 p.m.

LOCATION: Downtown Lombard, along St. Charles Road between Main Street and Elizabeth Street.
