Cameo may need a little time to get comfortable, but Cat Guardians hopes a patient adopter will give this gentle gray kitten the chance to shine.

The Lombard shelter describes her as shy at first, with a sweet disposition that emerges as she begins to feel secure.

Born May 20, 2026, Cameo is a short-haired female kitten with plenty of growing ahead of her.

For someone willing to let a new companion settle in at her own pace, those small moments of trust can be especially meaningful.

Cat Guardians encourages interested adopters to submit an application and arrange a visit to meet her.

How to meet Cameo

Cat Guardians is located at 932 E. St. Charles Road in Lombard, and visits are by appointment only.

Start with Cameo’s profile, then review the adoption information and application.

The shelter requires all household members to visit before an adoption and has a minimum 24-hour waiting period rather than same-day adoptions.

Its listed kitten adoption fee is $160.

Before adoption, cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, and brought up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Contact Cat Guardians through its website to confirm Cameo’s availability and discuss whether she would be a good match for your household.
