There would be no formal agenda or Board action during this hour, and residents would not need an appointment. You could stop by to ask questions, discuss concerns, share ideas or simply have a conversation with members of the Village Board.

I am also proposing that each gathering feature a local Villa Park business that would be invited to participate voluntarily. This would give residents another opportunity to learn about and support businesses operating in our community.

Scheduling these conversations immediately before a regular Board meeting should help reduce conflicts while providing residents with a consistent, dependable opportunity to connect with their elected officials.

The proposal is scheduled for public discussion during the Village Board meeting on:

Monday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m.
Villa Park Village Hall
20 S. Ardmore Ave.

If approved, the first Evening with the Board is proposed for:

Monday, September 28
6:00–7:00 p.m.
Villa Park Village Hall

The regular Village Board meeting would follow at 7:00 p.m. The Village’s official calendar confirms the September 14 and September 28 Board meetings, while the September Coffee with the Board meeting is listed as canceled.
