Railroad crossing repairs in Villa Park, Illinois

Union Pacific Railroad has announced the closure of the Ardmore Avenue railroad crossing in Villa Park, Illinois, for essential repairs.

 

The closure commenced at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3, and is scheduled to continue until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12.

 

Advance warning signs were installed starting May 27, and a posted detour route is in place to assist motorists during this period.

 

While the repairs are underway, train schedules are not expected to be affected.

 

However, residents are encouraged to check the Metra website for the latest service updates before traveling.
