Southminster Presbyterian Church is inviting families and their four-legged companions to a free Trunk or Treat and Pet Parade in Glen Ellyn on Sunday, October 25.

Costumes are encouraged but not required, and guests are welcome to attend with or without a pet.

DATE: Sunday, October 25, 2026

TIME: 4–6 p.m.

LOCATION: Southminster Presbyterian Church parking lot, 680 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn

The event will feature decorated trunks, Halloween treats and family-friendly fun throughout the church parking lot.

Pet owners can also enter the best pet costume contest, with voting taking place between 4 and 5:25 p.m.

Pets participating in the parade and costume contest should be checked in at the marked Pet Table before 5:25 p.m.

The Pet Paw-Rade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

All pets must remain on a leash or in a carrier at all times, and organizers ask guests to treat both pets and people with care and respect.

Minors and pets must be accompanied by an adult.

RAIN PLAN: If weather turns rainy, Trunk or Treat activities will move indoors, but the pet parade will be canceled.

If the outdoor parade is canceled, families may submit photos of costumed pets to Southminster for a virtual pet parade through November 8, although no best-costume prizes will be awarded in that case.

Southminster also notes that photographs or video may be taken during the event for use in church communications and social media.

For more information, contact Southminster Presbyterian Church at 630-469-9149.

This free event adds another fun, pet-friendly stop to Glen Ellyn’s busy Halloween weekend.
