Maryknoll Splash Park in Glen Ellyn will remain closed for the 2026 season due to significant infrastructure issues discovered during routine maintenance.

Initially slated to reopen on May 23, the park's inspection revealed extensive repairs needed in the pump and mechanical areas, necessitating a full season closure.

This proactive approach aims to ensure the facility's longevity and continued service to the community.

In the interim, residents can enjoy other local amenities, such as the recently upgraded Sunset Pool, which now features new slides, a children's wading pool, and enhanced concession areas.

These improvements offer alternative recreational options during the splash park's hiatus.

The Glen Ellyn Park District appreciates the community's understanding and will provide updates as the repair work progresses.
