Glen Ellyn neighbors are turning their homes into Halloween attractions, and families can plan their own tour using Downtown Glen Ellyn’s interactive decorating map.

According to the organizer’s announcement, more than 20 homes have already registered, with displays ranging from spooky scenes to playful seasonal decorations.

The map is updated as participants are added, making it a useful starting point for a drive or neighborhood stroll.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, October 14, 2026

COMMUNITY VOTING: October 15–25

WINNERS ANNOUNCED: October 26

LOCATION: Participating homes throughout Glen Ellyn; see the interactive map

Homeowners can join by registering their display and submitting a photo through the contest page.

Community voting will help select winners in four categories: overall Halloween spirit, spookiest house, most creative display and the Monster Mash Award for an especially bold, over-the-top presentation.

Winning homes will receive recognition and a winner’s yard sign.

Open the Halloween map and contest page to plan your route, register a home or find voting information.

When touring, enjoy the displays from public sidewalks and streets, respect private property and keep driveways clear.
