Lombard Historical Society invites visitors to explore Victorian mourning traditions during The Art of Dying on Thursday, October 15, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The event takes place at the Victorian Cottage, 23 West Maple Street in Lombard.

This immersive theatrical tour uses first-person interpretation to introduce funeral practices, mourning clothing and spiritual beliefs from the Victorian era.

The setting offers a seasonal way to learn how people remembered loved ones and understood death.

Admission costs $12 for members and $15 for nonmembers.

Optional tarot readings are available on-site for an additional $10, paid separately from admission.
