Fall activities, family outings and recreation classes offer ways to get out and stay active across Lombard, Glen Ellyn and Villa Park this week. School Day Off — Monday, Oct. 12 | 7 a.m.–6 p.m. Ages 6–12 can enjoy games, crafts and activities at the Lombard Community Building, 433 E. St. Charles Road. Club Rec enrollment is not required; Club Rec participants receive a special discount. Listed fees are $50–$60. Register three business days ahead; late registration is space-dependent and adds $10. OAKtoberfest — Saturday, Oct. 10 | 3–7 p.m. Enjoy free, all-ages fall fun at Lake Ellyn Park, 645 Lenox Road, with live music, crafts, games and oak-tree tours. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Event details. Grandparents and Me Day at the Lake — Monday, Oct. 12 | 10 a.m.–Noon Grandchildren ages 3–12 and their grandparents can share crafts, nature activities and opportunities for boating or fishing at Lake Ellyn Park. Meet at the boathouse, 645 Lenox Road. Each grandchild must register and attend with an adult; resident/nonresident fees are $25/$30. Check availability or the waitlist. Register.
Stretch & Sound Healing Experience — Sunday, Oct. 11 | 4–5 p.m. Reset Vibes leads gentle guided stretching followed by a sound bath at the Villa Park Recreation Center, 320 E. Wildwood Ave. Suitable for all experience levels. Register — search “Stretch & Sound”. Yoga — Mondays beginning Oct. 12 | 6–7:30 p.m. Ages 13 and older can join the session running Oct. 12–Nov. 16 at the Villa Park Recreation Center, 320 E. Wildwood Ave. Bring a mat, two yoga blocks and a strap. Registration is separate from group-fitness punch passes. Register for yoga.
