The GPS Parent Series will welcome developmental psychologist and author Dr. David Yeager for a virtual program Thursday, Aug. 20. “Start the School Year Strong: The Science of Motivating Young People” will be streamed at noon and 7 p.m. Yeager will discuss research-based strategies for motivating people ages 10 to 25, including ways parents, caregivers and educators can foster resilience, personal accountability and a stronger sense of purpose. Yeager is a psychology professor at the University of Texas at Austin and the author of “10 to 25: The Science of Motivating Young People.” The program is free, open to the public and does not require registration.
