Villa Park Begins Seasonal Park Amenity Shutdowns the Week of October 12 |
Twin Lakes and Rotary Park restrooms will remain open for scheduled fall sports, with closures expected in early November. |

Villa Park residents should plan for reduced access to seasonal park amenities as the village prepares facilities for winter.
Beginning the week of October 12, the village will gradually shut down the Lufkin Park Splash Pad, park restroom buildings and drinking fountains along the Prairie Path, according to its resident notice.
The closures will take place over time rather than all at once.
Some restrooms will stay open for fall sports
Restrooms at Twin Lakes and Rotary Park will remain available while soccer, baseball and other scheduled sports activities are still in season.
The village expects those facilities to close after the activities wrap up in early November, with the goal of keeping them available for as long as possible.
No exact closing date has been announced for those two locations.
Parks and trails remain places to enjoy fall
The seasonal shutdown concerns amenities; residents are encouraged to continue enjoying Villa Park’s parks, trails and open spaces throughout the cooler months.
If you are heading out for a walk, bike ride or afternoon at the park, bring drinking water and plan restroom stops with the changing availability in mind.
