Villa Park has a Halloween treat for anyone who loves decorated houses: the Villa Park F.U.N. Commission Halloween Decoration Contest has a mapped route featuring 25 nominated homes across the village.

From spooky yards to displays designed for younger visitors, this self-guided Halloween house tour is a chance to enjoy neighbors' creativity and celebrate the season close to home.

The provided route sheet covers approximately 12.3 miles and estimates 49 minutes of driving, without time spent enjoying the decorations at each stop.

Consider allowing extra time to look at the displays, especially if you plan to take pictures or travel with children.

Three contest categories, three $100 prizes

The contest will recognize one winner in each of three categories, with a $100 gift card for each winner.

Scariest honors the most fright-filled display; BOO-tiful recognizes the best kid-friendly display; and Sensory Friendly is a new category for 2026.

Winners are expected to be notified in person during the week of October 25, 2026.
