Scary, silly or serious—Villa Park’s community scarecrow challenge gives neighbors a chance to show off their creativity this fall.

Registration is required to participate.

Registered participants can pick up a scarecrow starter kit at the Villa Park Recreation Center beginning October 14, then build and display their own creation.

Once your scarecrow is ready, email a photo to scarecrowcontest@invillapark.com by October 22, 2026.

Judging takes place the week of October 26, and the winning creation will be featured on the cover of Villa Park’s Fall 2027 brochure.

Gather your ideas, give your scarecrow some personality and join your neighbors in this seasonal community challenge.
