Unleashing the Power of Reading this summer |

The Friends of the Villa Park Library are inviting community members to take part in their annual Readathon, a 12-hour celebration of books, storytelling, and literacy. A limited number of "Cool Reader" volunteer spots are still available for those willing to read aloud for a 30-minute time slot and help raise support for local literacy programs.
Funds raised during the event will benefit two important initiatives: the creation of a Story Stroll in a local park, where families can enjoy children's books while walking outdoors, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, which provides free books to young children each month.
Community members can also support the Readathon through donations or by sharing the fundraiser with others.
