Villa Park and Lombard residents seeking assistance with yard work and minor exterior repairs have a valuable opportunity through the annual Love Your Neighbor Day.
The Christian Church of Villa Park is organizing this event, bringing together volunteers to support homeowners facing financial or physical challenges.
Scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, the initiative focuses on providing free yard work assistance and small exterior repairs to those in need.
Homeowners in Villa Park and Lombard who require help maintaining their properties are encouraged to apply.
Applications are due by August 17, 2025, and can be obtained by contacting the church directly.
In the previous year, over 150 volunteers assisted 34 homeowners, demonstrating the community's commitment to supporting one another.
Volunteer groups, including church members, families, and friends, are welcome to participate.
Youth volunteers aged 11 to 17 can join with parental or group leader supervision.
